I am passionate about mentoring and training leaders, helping them achieving positive changes from the inside. My goal? And close your, feeling satisfied of whom and what you are and do, also of what have you achieved!
I was born in Maracaibo, a beautiful town in Venezuela. I grew up in a family where everything worked like an expensive watch; my education was the priority. I studied Environmental Engineering.
My life was not always as it is today, so I want to share with you my experiences and what motivated Carmita Prieto to become a consultant and coach for sustainable success.
Throughout 4 decades working as an environmental engineer, I concluded that the path to sustainability begins on a personal level, it starts when you connect in a meaningful way with yourself, define why you do what you do, state values and limits that govern your work and your life and serve others through the talents that make you unique.
I firmly believe that the clearer the vision of what you want is, the easier it is to overcome life’s challenges, it will always have ups and downs; but having clarity can let you identify the areas that need strength, make changes or take actions that will help you achieve your vision.

Why I do what I do?
It was not because of a difficult situation that hit me and made me open my eyes. When I looked at my life, I was living a good life, making true everyone’s dream, I was working in a corporate department at a major international oil company, living the experience as an expatriate in an exotic country, traveling … I had everything I wanted at that time; however, somehow, it didn’t seem like enough, I was feeling unsatisfied and unhappy.
It was after my only daughter´s marriage when I overthought what was for me being happy and successful.
I realized that it is not about running to the finish line and achieving the goal. It is about learning to live a life in which you feel that your talents, experience, knowledge, serve and have a greater purpose than having a position, earning good money and buying expensive things, while you have that feeling of emptiness and dissatisfaction, being unmotivated and unhappy.
After a very deep research and some trials and error; I decided to use the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities acquired over 40 years as engineer and consultant working on project management, management systems, root cause analysis, to establish the right processes, methods and tools to take the right actions and create sustainable success.
This gave birth to my idea and desire to help others to find success and happiness in what they do, that is how CARMITA PRIETO – Consultant and Coach, re-calibrating universes, re-empowering leaders and re-creating sustainable success was born.
