Here are the answers to some of the frequent questions asked, which will give you an idea of how working with me will help you achieve your personal and business goals. If you wish to discuss this in more detail, feel free to contact me.
In simple terms:
- Coaching focuses on maximizing the growth from within for the person or business owner; it helps you define goals that fit your highest potential, create realistic plans to achieve those goals, discover when and how you start to sabotage your success and business, create the commitment to achieve your goals within the planned time frame. While your coach can offer you information and advice, the main goal of coaching is EMPOWERING YOU so that you learn how to create the life or business of your dreams and sustain it successfully in time.
- Consulting adds the experience of the consultant to the process. A consultant offers information, advice, brainstorming, and training. Always seek to find a consultant who has reached what you want to achieve, someone who is willing to share knowledge, wisdom, and practical advice with you.
You need a coach if you want help to:
- Organize your ideas.
- Create a practical and effective plan.
- Prioritize your goals and tasks.
- Become accountable for the execution of your tasks.
- Keep your motivation high, even when you face difficulties.
- Understand how you sabotage your efforts (and find what to do about it).
You need a consultant if you want to:
- Have the advice and experience of someone who works successfully for himself.
- Follow a process that helps you and your business set the path to achieve your long-term vision.
- Learn methods, systems and tools to improve your performance and that of your company.
- Understand the basics of business planning and marketing.
- Learn entrepreneurial and business skills quickly.
- Find ways to manage and track the success of your company or business.
If you want help in both areas, you need both coaching and consulting. I highly recommend that my clients use me as a coach-consultant, the best of both worlds.
In both cases, I will:
- Ask questions that make you reflect, to encourage you to look at things in new ways.
- Listen carefully to what you say. Not only to the content of what you say, but also to your voice tone, beliefs, and feelings behind the content of your conversation.
- Give my honest feedback upon what I observe.
- Assign you “homework” to do in between our sessions or meetings.
- Provide you with tools and methods to improve your performance and of course your company’s one.
Carmita merges her experience of more than 4 decades as a chemical-environmental engineer that includes engineering processes, project planning and management, also management systems, root cause analysis in different industrial fields with soft skills such as consulting, coaching, mentoring. and training, using her ability to connect and relate information that at first glance seems unrelated and to find connections and patterns when analysing certain situations.
With her particular way of listening, reflecting and relating/connecting information, she helps her clients to delve into the root cause of their current challenges and find alternative paths to the results they are willing to reach.

Each meeting varies depending on client’s needs.
Carmita has created programs that run similar to how engineering projects are executed. Starting with diagnose; design and planning; execution and control; and continual improvement. She leads you and/or your organization to go from frustration, confusion and doubt, towards motivation, clarity and certainty, which will create a domino effect in your life and your organization.
The content of the program varies throughout the process depending on where you and your organization stand, the long-term vision you have for your life and your businesses as well as the tools and methods necessary at each stage to reach sustainable success for you and your company.
The meeting frequency and schedule are discussed and agreed during our exploration session. The schedule depends on your needs and availability.
The exploration sessions are done online through Zoom. Once you hire my services, I have the flexibility to travel to where you are, if that is what works best for both of us.
